NEW MUSIC: KanYe West featuring featuring Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz 'Power' REMIX

The not so highly anticipated, at least from my point of view, remix to KanYe's 'Power' is finally here. That being said, it's definitely a couple hundred steps up from the original. After some delay, Swizz delivers a remix that I imagine was more than worthy of Ye's approval, better done right than done quick. According to MTV, the pressure was on for Swizz Beatz. What you hear is the result of a collaborative effort from Ye, Jay-Z, John Legend, Swizz Beatz, input for this track was even gathered from Q-Tip, Mos Def and the Neptunes' Pharrell Williams. Definitely one for the playlist, link below. Enjoy.

NEW MUSIC: Travis McCoy 'That's Not Cool'

New Travis McCoy 'That's Not Cool', a much deeper record than what we're used to from this guy, and with a title like that, who would've guessed? We've definitely seen lighter hearted material from this carefree living rap artist, this piece almost seems dark. Regardless, it's a real solid piece, which is not a lot of something we see from the more mainstream artist's who shoot out material that's just meant to be heard and not listened to. Which is something that, at least I think, is different.

Who the hell is Travie? I'm pretty sure his name is Travis, but I keep seeing Travie everywhere. Now that's not cool.

KanYe recently revealed on a radio interview that the 'Power' remix featuring Jay-Z would drop Friday, which is today.

Saw this guy on America's Got Talent tonight. His name is Cam Hodges and he is one incredible singer, and a good song writer as well. Check him out above singing 'Really Do Like You'. While there's no CD quality download for this one, you can get the rip below. Cam does however plan to put this up for download somewhere in the future, most likely iTunes. NEW MUSIC VIDEO: Eminem and Rihanna 'Love the Way You Lie' featuring MEGAN FOX

Here's the new video for Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie', featuring vocals from Rhianna, which in part make this song what it is. Aside from the unlikely collaboration of Eminem and the artificial ginger, Rihanna, we have "actress" Megan Fox and actor Dominic Monaghan acting out some of the lyrics. Mrs. Fox, no introduction needed here, is in some sort of abusive relationship obviously and well Dominic Monaghan, who some of you might recognize as Charlie from the hit show LOST, is the abusive boyfriend. Enjoy.

On another note, EMINEM has been nominated for 8 MTV Video Music Award's, congratulations. If you're interested in curlyfries or are just in the mood for a good parody to this song, hit the jump for the parody to this song 'Curlyfries'.

EDIT: Apparently this video broke records. 6.6 million YouTube views in 24 hours! It even beat KanYe's 'Power', which only got a measly 1.4 million in the same time. Who knew Megan Fox was a bigger star than KanYe.

WHAT?: Wyclef Jean Running for President in Haiti

It's not exactly a shocker, however it is shocking. Haitian rap artist Wyclef Jean is now running for president of Haiti. He's always been a supporter of his own home country, especially during the devastator earthquake. Although his charity was clouded with rumors of fraud and such, I'm pretty sure his intentions will be perfectly clear on this one. This is what Wyclef had to say.

"I wanted to bring Santa Claus to the slums because these kids were poor but I didn't feel like they shouldn't have a Christmas, so I brought a carnival into the slum and I took a helicopter and I landed with my daughter and a Santa Claus right in the middle of Cité Soleil."

He was staying as he always does in Haiti in the Hotel Montana. Three weeks later, on 12 January, the entire building was reduced to rubble in the massive Haitian earthquake.

"We escaped death by a few weeks. So that's why I'm standing [for president]. Maybe I could have waited another 10 years for this, but this is urgent. Singing about policy is not enough. I've seen musicians sing about it all their life. I've taken the position to not only exercise what we are singing about, but to see if we could take five years to move this country into a better direction."

For some reason, this excites me more than do our own retarded politics. I think it's because this candidates is actually in a position to do something great for a broken country, and not only that, he most likely will, and mark his place in history. No homo.

RELEASE: KANYE WEST 'POWER' MUSIC VIDEO

KanYe's breaking barriers with this one. Here is some footage from the video and more. It's really more of a look inwards into the project, not really something we get with these "behind the scenes" clips if you will. Calling it as such, really sort of cheapens the clip in this case, because it's so much more than just a behind the scenes. Now mind you I just took an art class recently so it might be why I rapidly jumped to this thought, but the Sistine Chapel is not exactly an obscure piece of art. As I was watching the artistic scenes, it immediately came to mind, you really see the influence. As it turns out, some of the images in this production actually were inspired by the very same. The visual master piece for 'Power' is set to premiere on MTV, Thursday August 5th following Jersey Shore, @11PM.

"POWER shows a continuous camera move from extreme close-up of Mr. West revealing an a neoclassical video tableau showing characters and creatures surrounding him in an abstract environment - all moving in extreme slow motion.

Inspired by Michelangelo's frescos in the Sistine Chapel, the piece depicts a faux historical moment - an empire on the brink of collapse from its own excess, decadence and corruption."

NEW MUSIC: Traphik featuring Ahmir 'Airplanes' REMIX

To be honest, when B.o.B. dropped Airplanes, I wasn't exactly perplexed by the song. It was a break from everything else at the moment, and certainly held the spotlight for longer than I thought it would, but this new Airplanes remix completely blows the original out of the water. Not only does Ahmir (I'm guessing the R&B group singing the chorus) do it better than Hayley Williams, but Traphik aka TimothyDeLaGhetto on YouTube, does an excellent job with his verses, great job. Hopefully they release a mastered version of this and put it on iTunes or something.

Converse really pushing this collaboration, actually shot a video for 'All Summer'. Not saying it's a bad thing, the song is not exactly amazing but I guess what I'm trying to get at here is that I just didn't expect it. The video sort of follows the theme on the cover with those fun giant paper mache bobble heads, I want one of those for myself.

Although it's not exactly shocking that a BEP's member is embracing technology... especially Will.I.Am. I'm pretty sure Smule (popular for the autotune app) is going to get the job, the majority of the apps they develop are focused on musical creativity.

Refocusing the feel of his music, at least in this genuine heartfelt life struggle record, G.R.I.N.D. reveals a completely different Roth, a completely different person behind the words if you will. WHAT?: Snoop Dogg wants to rent entire COUNTRY

Snoop reportedly wants to rent the entire nation of Liechtenstein, the entire country! And he was actually in talks to do so. What for? a video shoot. Apparently the deal fell apart due to Snoop's time constraints. What's more, not even the people of Liechtenstein knew of this until it was printed in "The Daily Mirror", needless to say they didn't take kindly to the news. I'm willing to bet that even if the deal was made, there would be some civic unrest. It seems Snoop Dogg needed all 61 square miles of Liechtenstein for the video shoot.

While the whole thing seems extremely ridiculous, I live in a city that's 75 square miles, and it's not entirely crazy when I think of Snoop wanting to rent my whole city. Well not really, but definitely unheard of. I guess the fact that it's an entire country he wants to rent makes it sound much more obscene. I wonder what video he was planning on shooting.

NEW MUSIC: KiD CuDi featuring Rostam Batmanglij & Best Coast 'All Summer'

CuDi made good on his promise, delivering 'All Summer' featuring Rostam Batmanglij & Best Coast. It looks like some sort of collaboration with Converse, which he literally stated in his comment but I thought he meant the song was going to be converse, converse being an adjective. Anyways, listen below and download it at the Converse site (ahem... click on their picture), sounds like CuDi's new album might have some rock influence thrown in there as you can tell from Erase Me and now this song.

Independent independent... independence? 4th of July is "Independence Day", as we all knew it once upon a time before we began calling it "4th of July". Well, it doesn't hurt to have confirmation from Pharell either.

WHAT?: Black Eyed Peas 3D Documentary to be Directed by James Cameron

James Cameron, director of all films evil! No, James Cameron director of many classic films like the Terminator collection, Titanic, and recently Avatar, is said to be working with the Black Eyed Peas on a documentary which is also being called a "tour movie". When asked about it, the BEP's simply said "We have the biggest director, because we are the biggest group on the planet." Will.I.Am also added that it's going to include a plot he described as "dope". So which is it, a documentary or a film?

NEW MUSIC VIDEO: Janelle Monáe featuring B.o.B & Lupe Fiasco 'Tightrope' (Wondamix)

Here's the music video for Janelle's 'Tightrope' featuring B.o.B and Lupe Fiasco. She has previously worked with B.o.B. on 'The Kids'. Simple, but classy, carries that old school vibe well because it's in black and white in addition to their apparel, that is until Lupe clocks in looking closer to 21st century, nevermind. I'm not really a fan of Janelle, but you have to give it to her, she really got into the performance when it came to her verses, a lot of energy.

ALBUM COVER: KanYe West 'Power'

Here is the official album art for KanYe's first single 'Power', much better than my crappy cover. Pretty symbolic and of course artistic, this was painted by artist George Condo, who's pretty famous in Chicago. Of course being from Chicago, as many artist (rappers) would do, he's going to want a Chicago artist, uplift the area so to speak even if many people who see the cover wont know this.
